Ciao from Italy!

Autumn and I have made it to Italy and connected with our missionaries here.

Training week was such a focused time diving into the word, learning about some of the situations we might be faced with this summer, getting to know each other as a team as well as other teams that are around Europe at this point, and just praising God together! We were also able to serve Camp des Cimes, where we were staying, by doing service projects around the camp in different teams. I was on the landscaping crew and it would be more than alright if it's a good long while before I deal with stinging nettle plants again! The highlight of the week was being on the top of the French Alps (notice I didn't say the hike up lol.) In all reality, it was a great hike, and I'd definitely do it again, but it was a stretching experience.

Autumn and I left on the early bus this morning and flew to Rome where we met up with one of the four missionary families that GEM has stationed in/around Rome before driving to Frascati where we met up with Crystal and Matteo, who we will be with the majority of the time this summer. I'm so excited to start getting familiar with the city and serving as best I can.

The biggest prayer request right now is for strength against the spiritual warfare here and for Autumn and me to be able to find our way around town and process all of the information we got this week at training as well as all of the new information we are getting in Frascati.
